Business Principles

Sohonice BV recognizes the need to always act with integrity and respect human rights.

Sohonice's Business Principles are based on and support our core values: knowing, serving, trusting, simultaneous advocacy and striving for perfection. Sohonice's values: entrepreneurship, trust, agility, teamwork and fun are part of Sohonice's core values. These values guide us to do what is right.

The Business Principles convey a positive image, provide us with a guide to living the core values and ensure that the needs of the world in which we operate, our business practices and our personal behavior are aligned and mutually reinforcing.

Sohonice recognizes the United Nations Global Compact, supports and adheres to the ten principles stated therein with regard to human rights, working conditions, environmental protection and anti-corruption.

The principles regarding working conditions are set out in the Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work of the International Labor Organization (ILO): freedom of association and the right to bargain collectively, the elimination of all forms of forced or compulsory labor, effective abolition of child labor and the elimination of discrimination with regard to work and occupation.

We are committed to making the principles of the Global Compact part of Sohonice's strategy, culture and day-to-day operations and the ten principles are considered part of our Business Principles.

Sohonice recognizes that they also have a responsibility to its external relationships. In dealing with its candidates, suppliers, customers and other business partners, we strive to uphold the Business Principles and to foster a continuous active dialogue with people involved in the world of work.

The Business Principles contain minimum standards. In addition to these standards, we must ensure that we always comply with all laws, human rights principles, and Sohonice's internal policies and procedures.

No one has the right to violate it.

If the Business Principles conflict with local law, then local law must be followed, but efforts must be made to act in the spirit of the Business Principles. Some of the principles of the Business Principles will be elaborated in detail in separate Sohonice Policies and Procedures as needed.

In the event of a violation of these Business Principles, employees must first raise their concerns through the normal (local) reporting channels, i.e. through their local management lines or through regular local contacts, such as counselors, complaint counters, etc.

Reporting to management is usually the fastest and most desirable route, as well as the best way to ensure a good and open work environment with Sohonice.

If it is suspected that the local reporting channels are inadequate or ineffective, the Misconduct Reporting Procedure for reporting wrongdoing should be followed. However, this should only be considered as a last resort. All reports made in accordance with this procedure will be treated in strict confidence. In addition, the employee can rest assured that there will be no retaliation for a report made in good faith. Reports will be promptly investigated and, if necessary, corrective action will be taken to resolve the matter satisfactorily. While reports under the abuse reporting procedure can be submitted anonymously, the investigation of the reported matter is significantly facilitated if the reporter discloses his or her identity.
